Moderation – This word [G1933] (usually translated "gentle") is also used in the following verses:
1 Tim. 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
1 Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. |
