Thy watchmen – Those who, like the watchman (Pastor Russell), are watching for all the signs of the Lord's return.
Shall lift up the voice – *Note!* It is NOT their own voices which these watchmen lift up, but rather it is "the voice", i.e., the voice of our Returned Lord (1 Thess. 4:16.)
With the voice – Not with their own voices, but with 'the voice' – the voice of Present Truth.
Shall they sing – This is the 'Song of Moses and the Lamb', the song which only the 144,000 can sing (Rev. 14:2,3).
They shall see eye to eye – These will be in perfect agreement on something, but what? We have the answer in the last phrase of the preceeding verse, i.e., "Thy God Reigneth!" These see Jesus' reign as having begun!
When the Lord shall bring again Zion – The heavenly phase of the Kingdom. |
