1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no Jehovah. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.

The fool – One who ignores, or lacks, reason. HG528:1
The person who, after intelligent thought, concludes that there is no God; that everything came to be what it is by chance. SM467:3; R5210:3, R2834:2
Those who do not recognize the great First Cause, God, have their intellects so perverted that they are fools. R2834:2

2 Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after Jehovah.
