| 1 Thus saith Jehovah: Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, through your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. |

Set...like a flint – To do God's will, describing loyalty to God and his truth. R4670:5*

I have set my face like a flint – This was prophetically said of Pastor Russell. Compare Eze. 3:8-9.
This is also true of the Lord's people today. Our face (forehead, intellect) is set like flint. Because the Lord has graced us with an understanding of Present Truth and we know that it is indeed THE TRUTH, we are determined to be faithful to His Word, and to Him. |
