This is primarily related to the question: Is there spirit begettal in Babylon?
In the following references text like this indicates our inserted comments
– "Tares cannot beget wheat, nor can nominal Christendom produce true Christians."
– July 1910
- Spirit-begotten still in Babylon (though most likely Great Company)
– Great company class still in Babylon
Babylon is Fallen, is Fallen
; Rev. 14:8
"He cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird."
What does it mean to "become the habitation of devils?"
What kind of spirit was there at that time?
What is the condition of Babylon?
"For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."
In this context, does "Babylon" refer to the union of church and state?
While both the religious and the civil powers are involved in this illicit union, it is clear that the primary target of the Lord's displeasure is the religious, the church nominal. For, like her counterpart in the Jewish Age, "unto them were committed the oracles of God." Rom. 3:2"We are aware that Catholics declare Protestants to be this Babylon system; and we are aware that Protestants claim that Catholics are this Babylon system. To our understanding of the Divine Word, both are right!" HG522:3
Why was Babylon cast off?"
Because SHE made the nations drunk with her false doctrines, especially that her union with earthly kings constituted "Christ's Kingdom (Christendom.)"
What is symbolized by the wine?
Who benefited from this arrangement with her?
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
What is this voice from heaven?

What is the purpose of these coming out of her?
1. That they do not partake of her sins.
2. They do not receive of her plagues.
In order to understand clearly what this means we need to understand what is meant by "her plagues." So our next question is: What are the plagues
