2 g & p b m u y t t k o G, & o J o L, Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 a a h d p h g u u a t t p u l & g, t t k o h t h c u t g & v: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 w a g u u e g & p p: t b t y m b p o t d n, h e t c t i i t w t l. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 & b t, g a d, a t y f v; & t v k; And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 & t k t; & t t p; & t p g; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 & t g b k; & t b k l. And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.

8 f i t t b i y, & a, t m y t y s n b b n u i t k o o L J X. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 b h t l t t i b, & c s a o, & h f t h w p f h o s. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10 w t r, b, g d t m y c & e s: f i y d t t, y s n f: Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11 f s a e s b m u y a i t e k o o L & s J X. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

12 w i w n b n t p y a i r o t t, t y k t, & b e i t p t. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

13 y, i t i m, a l a i a i t t, t s y ↑ b p y i r; Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

14 k t s i m p o t m t, e a o L J X h s m. Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath showed me.

15 m i w e t y m b a a m d t h t t a i r. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

16 f w h n f c d f, w w m k u y t p & p o o L J X, b w e o h m. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17 f h r f G t f h & g, w t c s a v t h f t e g, t i m b s, i w i a w p. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18 & t v w c f h w h, w w w w h i t h m. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

19 w h a a m s w o p; w y d w t y t h, a u a l t s i a d p, u t d d, & t d s a i y ♥: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 k t f, t n p o t s i o a p i. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
